If you’re having suicidal thoughts
If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, call the Samaritans on 116 123, or visit Staying Safe for help to create your own safety plan or reach out to someone you trust to tell them how you feel.
Remember, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You might not be able to see a way out right now, but help is available, and change will come.
We can all be susceptible to thoughts of suicide if we find ourselves facing problems we can’t see a way out of. Having these thoughts are nothing to be ashamed of. The first step to getting help is to tell someone how you are feeling.

For additional ways to look after your mental wellbeing, try finding out what’s available in your local area.
Lots of things that support our wellbeing are available locally and can be accessed for free. If you want to try something new or join a local community group, Dewis Cymru is a great way to find activities and support near you.
If you’re feeling unsure about joining a community activity or what might work for you, there is support available. Contact your local authority to ask about their Social Prescribing or Community Connector service. They can help you identify useful activities and support in your local area.
