This tool was developed as part of Cultural Cwtsh, which was an online creative wellbeing hub for the health and care workforce in Wales, created by the Arts Council of Wales in collaboration with artists across the country.
In partnership with the Arts Council of Wales, we’re excited to share this mental wellbeing tool, alongside with many other creative resources, with everyone in Wales!
These videos include improvisation techniques that will get you moving.
They focus on visualisation and sensory based tasks to allow you to dance in a specific yet personal way.
The videos include a warm up, to make sure you’re ready to dance, and a quick cool down, to round off the session and finish in a calm and relaxing way.
There is no right or wrong in improvisation, so you can move as dynamically or as calmly as you would like.
Hopefully these workshops will create a stimulating and creative outlet for you to escape from the rush of everyday life and get you creating some interesting movement.
