Trees give me a whole other perspective

Rhian
A tree

I’m a female in my forties.

What do you do to protect and improve your mental wellbeing?

My favourite place to be when I need to relax is in the woods, listening to the sounds, observing what’s around me and appreciating the beauty of nature.

I love trees, especially old ones. There’s just something calming about being surrounded by them.

I try to remember to look up through the trees and to literally see things from a different perspective!

I’m lucky enough to live near some small areas of ancient woodland. The size and scale of these trees always amazes me.

I find it inspiring to think about how long they have been around, what they might have seen and how long they’ll be here once I’m gone!
