People’s Collection Wales captures and celebrates unique stories to bring together Wales’ heritage.

Explore photographs, video and audio clips describing memories, letters, and much more. All items have been contributed by individuals, local community groups, museums, archives, and libraries from across Wales.

Appreciating the everyday history and culture around us can help us feel proud. It can support us in making sense of the world around us, and feeling like we can take action on the things that matter to us.

You can also tell your own story, and share family memories, by uploading to the website, and by building your own collection from the archives.

Our stories all contribute to something bigger, the story of Wales. Sharing our memories helps communities to build belonging and connection. It can improve the way that everyone feels about their lives.
