This tool was developed as part of Cultural Cwtsh, which was an online creative wellbeing hub for the health and care workforce in Wales, created by the Arts Council of Wales in collaboration with artists across the country.
In partnership with the Arts Council of Wales, we’re excited to share this mental wellbeing tool, alongside with many other creative resources, with everyone in Wales!
I am a textile and mixed media artist based in the Garw valley and for the last 10 years I have worked with arts organisations creating uplifting and positive workshops; most recently working with cARTrefu taking art into the care home environment.
Due to the pandemic, I have been teaching on Zoom creating interactive art, enabling care home staff to deliver uplifting activities to the residence. This has given me an insight of how the healthcare staff are feeling and what they would like to explore as uplifting activities for themselves.
For Cultural Cwtsh, Filmmaker Jim Elliott filmed me collecting positive memories and creating inexpensive small eclectic art installations, which are simple and quick to make, with readily available materials, which can be as diverse as NHS and Social Care staff themselves.
Thank you,
Alison Moger
