Bollywood is known for its elaborate, high energy, carefree and colourful song and dance sequences.

It is a versatile dance style that fuses many Indian and Western dance forms to create movement that is energetic and colourful, inviting anyone, no matter who you are or where you’re from.

My name is Sanea Singh, I am a Wales based freelance dance artist currently working with Ballet Cymru. Born and brought up in India, I started my dance journey with Bollywood at a young age and since Bollywood is such a fun and engaging dance style it ignited my passion for movement that has kept me dancing my whole life, and I hope it does the same for you!

I was a company dancer with a Bollywood dance company based in Mumbai for 4 years after which, in 2014, I moved to the UK to study dance at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). Since graduating, I have continued to work in the UK as a freelance contemporary dance artist.

It is my hope that these videos will help you destress, let go and have some fun during your busy days. So, from India to the UK, I bring you ‘The Bollywood Series’. Let’s get moving!
