The most insignificant things in your home can trigger the most creative ideas in your imagination.

Welcome to the Studio of Ideas, a short series that I hope will encourage you to use products from your home / garden in order to trigger new ideas and make the writing process fun.

My name is Mari Elen, I’m a writer, podcaster and performer living in North Wales, and I love finding new ways to spark ideas. I’ve been writing for years, writing professionally and writing to feel better, but sometimes I don’t know where to start.

In these two videos, I will arm you with new techniques for you to keep in your brain’s toolbox to help you start writing. We will find a plot, create characters and have fun.

There are no boundaries when you write creatively, and that’s what makes it so exciting! Don’t worry about the correctness of language, it’s only important to enjoy the process.

Equipment needed: Paper, Newspapers, Old Magazines / Newspapers / Books, Walking Shoes.
